Hair & Beauty Salon Accountant

Pink Butterfly Accounting was founded by myself Joanne McArdle.  I have over 14 years' experience working in the hair and beauty industry, starting as a junior, working the salon reception then going on to manage the salon and controlling the finances.

As much as I enjoyed all of the treatments, I knew I didn't have the flair to do the hair and was not quite chic enough for the beauty, my passion was with the numbers and working to maximise the profits and improve the salon performance.

This passion led me on to gain a 1st class honours degree in Accounting & Finance and complete chartered accountancy exams.  I left the hair & beauty industry to pursue a career as an accountant.

Having worked in the salon industry to then becoming an accountant my dream was always to merge this experience.  I wanted to share my knowledge to support business owners in the hair, beauty & aesthetic industry to understand their financials and support them to grow their business.
